Reino Ermitano
Rituales Interiores
Rating
Style: doom/stoner
Release date: July 28th 2008

I have never reviewed a band from Peru before, but for everything there's a first, I guess. The band has completely Spanish lyrics, so I haven't got a clue where they are about. What's left is the music; I like some doom music when it's in the style of Candlemass, but not all doom.

Reino Ermitano plays the slow and drooling Sabbath riffs, but never sounds interesting enough for me. At times when the tempo goes up, I can appreciate them more, but that is not so often. Also the vocals of Tania can't impress me. After 3 or 4 songs I have heard enough and I am looking for some faster and less depressing stuff. People who like St. Vitus and Pentagram should take a listen, for me it got too boring.

Only for the die-hard doom fans.
