A piece of advice: Don’t drive a car while listening to this album. You’ll probably run someone over, just for fun. Then you’ll burn and grind some rubber into the victims face. And rape the remains. That’s how mind-wreckingly brutal this album is!
Prostitute Disfigurement (gotta love that name!) plays fast and merciless death, but with very tiny fragments of metalcore mixed into it. Throw the best element from melodic black and some very heavy thrash into it, and you get the idea. Its fast paced, unstoppable and immensely dense. The vocal – masterfully done by Niels Adams – blends deep, but comprehensible growling with black-like screams and abrupt “thrashy” verbal headbuts, in a way that seems easy. Actually its probably pretty difficult, but Adams makes it appear as a perfectly natural way of doing great metal vocals.
The sound editing is nothing but downright impressive. Even at low volumes it sounds as if the thundering bass drums are standing right in front of you. Even in the most noisy parts you can hear every little detail of all the strings (three guitars and a bass). Annoyingly, I can’t find out what studio did this fantastic work, though it would be a rather obvious piece of info to put on a promo.
Prostitute Disfigurement has already supported death metal legends like Cannibal Corpse and Deicide, and I’ll put my money on a wager, saying that in a few years their manager will be looking for someone to support them! But remember: Don’t put this album on your car stereo!
