Forget Pig Destroyer as you know it. Be warned, that this album contains nothing like Pig Destroyer. It’s not grindcore or gore metal. It’s…. Something else.

I’m not easily surprised, but this one really flabbergasted me. Not because of the sudden genre-change, but because I’ve never heard anything like this before.

This is more soundscape than music, more a stimulation of the brain. It’s a mood. It really is kind of hard to describe, but at least that should be clear by now.

The music starts after five minutes of strange sounds, slowly building up to the first merciless guitar-riff. Then comes the monotonous howling center-piece, which continues throughout the album, interrupted by more soundscaping, more audio architecture. The center-piece will haunt you, rugged and horrific, but in the best possible way. Robots speak to you in bizarre languages. Women scream. Birds twitter. Doom is approaching, slowly but inevitable. Sound samples of every kind assaults your mind, and you will kneel before this song – this one song of 35+ minutes.

The footsteps of the grim reaper grows louder. My task is not yet done, but one can one do? I’m only human, and I can’t describe this song any better. Buying Natasha is a gamble. It doesn’t fit into any of the boxes. I, for one, think it’s a very good try at something new, something strange and alien, that should carry over into the history of metal. What will be written about it? I do not want to chance a guess. This is brutal liquid poetry.
