No Return was founded in 1989 and are one of the leading extreme metal acts from France. 'Manipulated Mind' is their 8th album. The music of the five has lots of times been circumscribed as a modern version of their countrymen Massacra.

You can immediately hear that the band is very experienced. The band combines fast hammering blasts with riffing in a kind of Sadus-style. In songs like "New Systems", "Out of Control" and the title track, At the Gates and Hypocrisy influences come to the surface. The rather technical songs have a brutal sound and the growling vocals of Moreno fit the music.

If you appreciate technically, tight, brutal and blasting death/thrash metal, this album can be the welcome gift of the month. Give these French guys a chance and check them out.
