They are not many, the records that have had the ability to make me take a break from listening to Keep of Kalessin's last release this summer. But the Americans, I must say, were a positive surprise.

Of course, my picky self managed to identify a couple of rhythmic blunders, but this new record has all the elements to appeal to most people interested in metal, or music general.
It contains the heaviness and melody of the new generation of American metal (Trivium...), as well as the atmosphere and straight-forward riffs of the traditional black-metal. Aside of this, you also find high-flying jazz-metal!
For you who long back to those intros American metal bands used to be so good at, you'll find them here too.

This CD, as varied as it is, shows an already mature sound and a very agreeable musicality. The Seasicks are pearls, people! Check this out absolutely, and please buy it too!
