Style: Doom Metal
Release date: May 26th 2008

MOSS was formed in 2001 born with a desire to create the heaviest Doom Metal of all time.

‘Sub Templum’ is their second full-length release and contains 4 tracks and almost 74 minutes of slow, depressing heavy as hell Doom Metal.

Even though I’m into this kind of music ‘Sub Templum’ can’t convince me. It lacks atmosphere. The music is heavy and doomy alright but the riffs are monotonous and the tracks sound very much the same to me... even after a couple of spins.

The vocals are also not my cup of tea... it sounds like the devil himself on a very early Monday morning.

The production is perfect for this kind of music and I’m sure that this album could please some of you Doom-fans out there... but I need a tad more than this to win me over.

Next please.
