MISERATION is the latest effort from guitarist Jani Stefanovic (DIVINEFIRE) and vocalist Christian Älvestam (SCAR SYMMETRY) and the promo-CD I’m holding in my hands is called “Your Demons – Their Angels” and it’s their debut album. Rolf Pilve (drums), Johan Ylenstrand (bass) and Marcus Bertillson (guitar) completes the band. (“Your Demons – Their Angels” was released in 2007 through Rivel Records but is now being re-released through Lifeforce Records).

We are talking Melodic Death Metal here… 9 tracks with a huge, powerful and crystal clear production. The musicianship is top notch and so are most of the songs. My favourite tracks could very well be “Perfection Destroyed”, “World Lethality” and “Chain – Work Soul”, with both aggressive and clean vocals… and with memorable choruses that sticks like glue.

On the down side we get a few tracks that sound the same to me. And strangely I enjoy listening to “the not so memorable” tracks, but even after numerous listens I do not remember them. But maybe I’m a bit spoiled when it comes to music?
