Lars Eric Mattsson might be best know for his numerous solo albums as well as his Book of Reflections project, now he has a brand new album out, where he introduces the talent of Adrienn Antal. Picking up where he left us with his 2005 album 'War', he continues delivering an interesting mixture of symphonic, gothic and progressive metal spiced up with great guitar work from the master himself.

'Dream Child' is his most complete work to date, and has some very well written and executed songs. Adrienn delivers a fine and delicate performance on the album, but do at times sound a bit too thin in the higher regions. A familiar face does appear - Björn Lodin (Baltimoore) - and his performance adds a nice contrast to Adrienn.

The guitar virtuoso Lars Eric Mattsson has moved towards more accessible territories with this album, but there is room for improvement, and I really look forward to the next album, because the songs have a lot of potential and the skills within the band are surely there for something beyond what they've accomplished with this album.
