Here we have yet another female fronted gothic metal band with all the ingredients we are so used to by now from these kinds of bands. KATRA is the name of this Finnish band... named after front lady Katra Solopuro.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this album called “Beast Within”, it’s well written, well played, the songs are quite catchy, the production is great and I even like Katra Solopuro’s voice. But this promo CD I’m holding in my hands is packed with voice-overs telling me that I’m listening to the new KATRA album... the more I listen to “Beast Within” the more it annoys and upset me... therefore no rating.
But there’s nothing else to tell you about this band anyway. It’s a typical female fronted gothic metal band... and if you’re a genre fan you can probably buy this blindfolded.
