Jorn Lande has proven on many occasions that he belongs in the absolute elite among hard rock vocalists, and he does once more deliver an outstanding vocal performance on 'Lonely are the Brave'.
I wish the music was in the same league, but like it has been the case with most of his solo-albums the music simply isn't strong enough to really impress. Well crafted and played hard rock with a fine instrumentation, catchy hooks and solid rhythms is the name of the game, but the real killer songs are sadly missing.
The album falls nicely in line with all of his previous solo-albums, a solid rock album that has its strengths in the vocal department, but the music is just average... If I had to capture the album in one word it would be: approved - but the excitement is missing...
