IGNITOR??? Have never heard of them before, but the press info tells me that they are formed in 2003, released a mini-CD called “Take to the Sky” and are now back with a full-length release, entitled “Road of Bones”.

Well... I threw “Road of Bones” in my player and my first thought was; What the hell is this? Sounds like a 80’s underground metal band with an okay but not stunning production. And the vocals? Can’t exactly say I was impressed with Erika’s vocals at first.

I was actually ready to throw it in the bin, but after a few spins something really strange happened. The music began to grow on me and suddenly I found myself enjoying most of the 11 tracks on “Road of Bones”. I’m still not a huge fan of the vocals but this album is packed with great riffs that should be played very loudly.

This album is absolutely recommended for heavy metal fans that can’t get enough of “under-ground-sounding” metal of the 80’s.

Check it out.
