Honeymoon Suite is back with the original line-up with Johnnie Dee, Derry Grehan, Ray Cockburn, Gary Lalonde and Dave Betts and back with a brand new release called ‘Clifton Hill’.

‘Clifton Hill’ is not a bad album by any means, but I must admit that I had expected a bit more from Honeymoon Suite. We are still talking melodic rock here (surprise!) and we still get catchy hooks but I still miss something. There’s only a few songs that contains catchy choruses and that’s simply not enough for me. Well... Honeymoon Suite know how to rock and it shows on songs like; “That’s All U Got”, “Down 2 Bizness”  and album opener “She Ain’t Alright”,  but songs such as; “Separate Lives”, “Restless”, “Sunday Morning”, ”Why Should I?” and “Ordinary” are songs written for housewives. Sorry guys... you can do better that this.

One more complaint! My promo-CD is packed with voice-overs to avoid any piracy but it really

pisses me off that I have to listen to some guy telling me that I’m listening to the new Honeymoon Suite album, over and over again. So... no rating! And in the bin it goes.
