After Jesusmartyr I am going to review Holy Moses. Judas Priest has already been done last month. Who said that metal and religion can't go together?

German thrash band Holy Moses is back with their twelfth album. I don't exactly know every album the band has released, but I must say that this is an album I like. The thrash reminds a bit of the early days with 'Finished with the Dogs' and 'The New Machine of Liechtenstein'. But with a much better production, better songs and with more complex parts and diversity.

After a short intro "Imagination" starts hammering and pounding out of the boxes. The tight thrash with the aggressive and growling vocals of Sabine Classen is a lust for my ears. It is as if Anthrax, Exodus and Testament have mixed their music and asked Sabine to growl it together. The music is much more diverse and technical, and the guitar solo's are sharp as a razors. Those new so called new wave of thrash bands can't stand in the shadow of these German pioneers of thrash. Did their last album sound more like melodic Death-metal, they are back now with pure speed/thrash.

In all the songs they put the pedal to the metal, no mid-tempo, just raging and thrashing all the way. A big compliment for the song writing and the tight as a duck's ass production. They have put the band back in front of the German thrash scene, congratulations!
