Style: Neo-classical Melodic Power Metal
Release date: August 11th 2008

The pool of musical talent in Sweden seems bottomless, and even though Harmony isn't exactly newcomers to the scene, they released their debut album 'Dreaming Awake' on the Massacre Records label back in 2003. But they have been silent for quite some time, and now they are back with a vengeance.

This 5 track EP is an appetizer for their upcoming second full length album 'Chapter II: Aftermath', which will be released in the fall. Three of the songs on this EP will also feature on the album ("End of My Road", "Prevail" and "Rain"), while the two remaining songs are exclusive tracks for the EP.

'End of My Road' features five of the finest neo-classical melodic metal tunes I've heard in some time, try to imagine a band located somewhere in the grey zone between Yngwie Malmsteen, Symphony X, Kamelot and classic Swedish Power Metal. The guitar leads delivered by Markus Sigfridsson is magnificent, and harmonies and duels with keyboard player Magnus Holmberg is at the top of the class as well.

Lead vocalist Henrik Båth, fits right in and delivers an equally great performance. The rhythm section, featuring Tobias Enbert on the drums and guest musician Kristoffer Gildenlöw (ex-Pain of Salvation) on bass lays down a solid foundation for the very well composed songs. Maybe you have made the Darkwater connection by now; all (Kristoffer the exception) are a part of that band as well. The connection to Darkwater doesn't stop here; Pelle Seather, who mixed Darkwater's debut album, is also handling the mix on this one.

If these songs are any indication of what's in store for us later on this year, then we are certainly in for something extraordinary! Do check this up and coming band out....
