Hangar plays fast power metal like a million other
bands, sound
wise and style wise we are not that remote from the leaders in Brazilian power
metal Angra. Aquiles Priester, current Angra drummer
founded Hangar back in 1997, and his contribution to this album is really
strong.
The album has twelve well written and played songs, produced
by
Aquiles Priester and mixed and mastered by Tommy Newton, and that combination
has resulted in a good and sound sounding album.
The technical level is up to par, and the songs are good but
none of them really sticks out, actually the bonus track for Japan 'Your Skin
and Bones' is one of the better songs on the album, and I could easily have done
without the cover version of the classic Peter Frampton song 'Breaking the
Rules', not a favourite of mine.
Solid craftsmanship from Brazil, but nothing more than a fine
and solid album that most likely will go under in the massive sea of releases!
But don't let that scare you off if you are into classic power metal.
