Well... here’s another splendid AOR/Melodic rock album that genre fans definitely need in their CD-collection. FROZEN RAIN is a project of Kurt Vereecke a guitarist from Belgium who has always been fascinated by music and he actually wrote his first song when he was only 10 years old.
I’ve only read good things about this album so I was kinda eager to check it out and I’m not disappointed at all. This album by FROZEN RAIN simply entitled “Frozen Rain” contains 12 tracks and there are several musicians involved in the project; Tommy Denander (Guitars), Jo De Boeck (Background vocals), Steve Newman (Guitars), Daniel Flores (Drums) and Johan Waem to name a few.
We get everything here... catchy hooks and catchy choruses that you won’t be able to forget for quite some time. There is a change of the lead vocalist almost from song to song, but that’s okay with me... but maybe he should stick with one?
This album could very well have been recorded and released back in the 80’s and I must admit that most AOR releases are too soft for my taste, but this one is entertaining from the very first track to the CD is done.
Genre fans should at least check this album out because this is a bouncy, biting burst of Melodic rock music. Thumps up!
