Two years has passed since
Jem Godfrey
blessed us with sounds from the British Island, and it sure
sounds and smells like an old British brew, and fans of bands like
Arena, IQ or
Kino should stop up and listen carefully.
While I really liked the first album this one lets me a bit
down; sure no two songs sound anything alike, and the experiments are many and
varied. But the sound is a bit too thin and clinical at certain places, and I
can't find the thin red line that ties this together.
There is no shortage in well played prog rock, and the album
do win me a little bit over by each spin, but not enough to fully win me over. I
miss some coherence and as a whole this does not make me jump for joy.
