It is pretty funny to watch a bunch of old geezers with beer belly's - just like myself - thrashing it out in Poland, and kicking it all off with a very cool version of 'Hammerhead'. It gets the band as well as the crowd going, heads are banging and fists are raised in the air, and soon the first pit is created.

Performing live at the Metalmania Festival 2008, they offer everything Flotsam and Jetsam have ever stood for: non-conformist sounds, fast and furious and perfectly executed thrash metal riffs as well as great song writing. Treading the fans with a great selection of songs from their huge back catalogue (no songs from their three latest albums) including such classics as "Doomsday for the Deceiver", "No Place for Disgrace" and "Escape from Within".

Thrash it out guys, and they surely do, and when they play the title tracks from their first two albums, which happens to be my favourites as well, they have won me as well as most of the crowd over, and from there on it's an easy run to the finish line, even though "Smoked Out" might not the most obvious choice to finish the show with!

The DVD also includes an interview with Edward Carlson (mostly) and Craig Nielsen, as well as other goodies for the fans. First DVD from one of the longest serving members of the thrash metal community is a successful one, and gives the fans a good live show, as well as insight in the band. A bit on the short side, but that aside just what the doctor ordered...
