Final Axe
The Axe of the Apostles
Rating
Style: White Metal
Release date: May 30th 2008

With song titles like 'Metal Missionaries', 'Burn in Hell', 'Vengeance is Mine' and 'Dealing with Death' you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that we are dealing with a White Metal band. Final Axe plays powerful, Bay Area inspired heavy metal combined with classic metal like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Barren Cross delivers.

Robert Sweet (Stryper) is pounding away on the drums and lays a virtuosic rhythmic base for the ten songs, sadly enough the biggest set-back is the drum production, which spoils a lot of the fun.
The guitar assault has a crisp and straight-in-your-face production, which fits the music very well.

I had my troubles getting used to the un-even production, but many spins later I have come to the conclusion that even though the album has its moments it never really becomes more than a acceptable, borderline mediocre metal album.
