Doro is celebrating her 25th anniversary in metal with a very traditional album, on which we are served all the trademarks fans of hers demand in a new album from her. You get the fast songs, the ones with German lyric, the big ballads and the more traditional metal anthems.

The general feel is a bit rawer and in-your-face, a step back in time especially soundwise, where some old Warlock sounds and rawness rears its ugly head here and there. The song writing isn’t quite up to par with her best moments, without totally falling off the cliff.

The outcome is a solid heavy metal album from Germany's premier female vocalist for more than 25 years, an album that Doro can be proud of and one that should help her maintain her status in Germany. I do have my doubts if this will do anything for her status in the rest of the World, but nevertheless this is a solid female fronted heavy metal album, nothing more nothing less!
