Oh my, do we have massive and hitherto unappreciated talent rearing its ugly head here?
Canadian Divinity’s debut album is an eclectic effort consisting of a technically adept death metal, drawing nice fat lines to Chuck Schuldiner as well as progressive metal.
The material is complex, but it never loses focus or enter the (for me) dreaded jazz-overkill. Tight as our editor-in-chief’s arse and full of variation, the album is a true pleasure to listen to.
Divinity, it appears, are not spring chicks. The band’s been around since 1997 and one has to wonder why they have not been exposed more or given the chance to send out a CD.
DO try this out!
