German thrashers DESTRUCTION are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year with a brand new album called ’D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N’. Yes, 25 years of pure “destruction” and they sure have had their ups and downs but they still kick ass.

My favourite DESTRUCTION album is still ‘Infernal Overkill’ (1986) and I must admit that ’D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N’ can’t top ‘Infernal Overkill’ but it’s still a fine piece of music. The sound and style is exactly what we are used to, so no real surprises here... they are still fast, mean and chunky just like all good thrash metal should be. Thick, speedy guitars and heavy rhythms all caught up in swirls of “melody” and power... I can’t complain. Well... a few of the tracks do need a few spins to grow... but what the Hell ’D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N’ wins a little with every spin. My only complaint is that my promo-CD contains voice-overs!!! DAMN!!! It’s fucking annoying...!

’D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N’ comes with an excellent production... crystal clear and powerful so fans of DESTRUCTION should order this album right now!
