Do we really need another melodic death metal band in the same vein as In Flames, Dark Tranquillity and so on? Well... why not? DEGRADEAD hails from Sweden and this album entitled ‘Til Death Do Us Apart’ is the title of their debut full-length album.

‘Til Death Do Us Apart’ is not groundbreaking or original in any way... heck... I’m even sure that I’ve heard most of the riffs before somewhere but it’s still an album that I really enjoy from the beginning to the end.

The promo-CD I’m holding in my hands contains 11 tracks and the first 10 is pure melodic death metal with both harsh and clean vocals and quite catchy choruses. The last track is the title-track and it’s an all-acoustic track. A quiet little piece of music to end the CD... Yeah, why not? Works for me.

Well... I know that DEGRADEAD have to compete with “billions” of melodic death metal bands out there... but I do hope they make it... because I find this album very enjoyable from the very first track to the last track.

So if you need to buy every fucking melodic death metal release, then you certainly need this one too... Just don't expect anything groundbreaking or original.
