Well... what do we have here? An Epic Heavy Metal band from the isle of Puerto Rico called DANTESCO and their second album “Pagano”. I must admit that I have never heard of them before and was quite surprised to find out that the songs are sung in Spanish except for the European bonus track “I Came from Hell”.

The promo CD I’m holding in my hands contains 11 songs... 11 okay songs but at times too

obscure for me. There’s nothing wrong with the music and could easily describe them as a mix

of Mercyful Fate, Iron Maiden, Candlemass and then throw in a few Epic bands as well and then

I think you have a pretty good idea of their style. But the vocals from Erico La Bestia are a bit

annoying in the long run. Just think of a Latin priest trying to sing opera :)

“Pagano” is only for fans of Epic Metal. For the rest of you, this album is hardly essential, but check it out and be your own judge.
