Another German melodic metal group hits the road with their first album. I don't know how many bands there are already in the same genre, but I bet you can fill a whole 3-days summer festival with them. With great expectation I put the CD in the player. Is this band a welcome addition to the genre?

After listening to it several times, I must conclude that the songs are well played, are worth listening, but are too average. The band never leaves the regular paths of the genre and the songs don't bear in mind. I still don't remember any choruses to sing along and that is a weak point. The songs are melodic and not bad, but I just miss something that makes it a more than average record.

"Tears I've Cried" starts with good riff, but can't convince. The vocals of singer Rene Brandt are medium, but are never outstanding. The third song "Made of Stone" has a kind of groove in it and is together with "Poisened" one of the best tracks. In this song vocalist Rene delivers his best performance. "The Human Factor" reminds me a little of White Lion. The balladesk song "Ghosts" is nice, but not so strong. Most of the songs are in the style of bands such as Bonfire, Pink Cream 69, White Lion and Whitesnake, but don't reach the same level.

It's not a killer, but it isn't rotten either. Fans of this genre won't be disappointed, but don't expect anything earth shaking.
