It isn't the first thing one could have thought of that Shagrath and Lex Icon (then Nagash), in 1999, as Dimmu Borgir were piercing their way to the top of extreme metal, were setting the ground stones of Chrome Division!
Today, Chrome Division is the sole affair of the one DB member, Shagrath, who lets out his unexposed side as the axe-wielding rock'n'roller. Well helped he his by among others Eddie Guz, front man of the Norwegian R'n'R sensation The Carburetors and Tony White of Minas Tirith fame.
BBB, the band's second record, shows a band that has been able to use their own influences (Kiss, Motörhead, Black Label Society...) to create solid compositions, while including the colours of their respective bands. This recording from Studio Fredman is far better sounding than its predecessor from 2006 and a great surprise to me who wasn't completely convinced by their first attempt.
This is undoubtedly a band one should see live to complete the musical experience!
