Look, I’m sure these four Germans have had one hell of a time spending four days in a studio, punishing the instruments and the amps for a while.

 

The result emphasises how rare it is that a short time in the studio leads to something worth listening to. Perhaps Black Sabbath was able to do it with their first album, but Blooddawn most certainly aren’t Black Sabbath and their take on old-school thrash is a downright miserable effort in terms of production and tightness. We have moved beyond the demos-from-the-late-eighties quality, wouldn’t you think, eh eh? I think so.

 

If you have the misfortune of listening to this instead of some of the great bands out there who make a real effort, make sure that you listen to the track Inverted which in my view is the only decent song here.
