BIBLE OF THE DEVIL hails from Chicago, USA, but it’s my very first close encounter with them, I must admit. ’Freedom Metal’ is the title of their fifth album... and a nice surprise in my book. Okay, I admit I wasn’t exactly thrilled the very first time this disc was rotating in my CD-player but after a few listens I was hooked.

To me BIBLE OF THE DEVIL sounds like a mix between early Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Thin Lizzy among others. ’Freedom Metal’ is packed with honest Heavy Metal with catchy riffs, catchy choruses and guitar harmonies that has Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden written all over them. Especially Thin Lizzy comes to mind, just take a listen to track 6 “Ol’ Girl” and you know what I mean. I actually thought it was a Thin Lizzy cover... LOL!

Track 7 has written Black Sabbath and Cathedral all over it and spiced with excellent Thin Lizzy guitar harmonies... awesome track if you ask me.

All in all a great release from BIBLE OF THE DEVIL so check them out now!
