Exactly two months ago came out Belphegor's seventh manifestation of satanism, bondage, domination, sadism and masochism and the devil's pact, plainly and without detours entitled "Bondage Goat Zombie".
Have you ever wondered what a "bondage goat zombie is" ? Can't say they crowd my town's streets daily, but I slightly recall finding myself among them and even maybe being one too, one drunk and dressed-up evening or two.
Yeah, that must be it, they still can ecclectic, rough titles, and grotesque imagery that is bound to make almost any eye react.

Can you believe the album was in the top 50 in their homeland Austria within a couple of weeks after release?

The imagery and titles are a good introduction to this dark and compelling bizarre act.
The record is to some extent predictable and presents nothing new musically, but provides a good soundtrack to evening automobile rides (tested and unanimously approved), and I suppose it to be music of choice at standard home parties and during sex.

Belphegor is Belphegor but I'm not overwhelmed this time. I still enjoy their sounds from old Sweden, machine-like colour, especially on the double bass, and the heavily loaded melodies. A good combination of brutal blast-beats based death-metal with a high concentration of right-through black riffs.

If you're into Belphegor, no need to stop now; if you're not, you'll get easily tied by the delight of their cold chains...
