When the
master himself puts together a compilation of what he considers the best songs
off his entire back catalogue it is really hard to argue with his picks, isn't
it?
And I must
admit given the same task would have meant an almost identical selection, only a
few adjustments would have made it perfect in my world.

Lucassen is closing the Ayreon Saga with this retrospect, and to hard core fans
like myself there really isn't a lot to gain from these discs beside a better
sound on the material, one new song and the cool DVD with various different
versions, mixes and other goodies.
This is a great
opportunity to dig even deeper into the universe of Arjen A. Lucassen if you
only recently have discovered the band and want to learn everything. For fans
that have the entire back catalogue; this is only mandatory if you really,
really have to own everything Arjen puts out...
