Abigail Williams are ready to launch their debut full-length album ‘In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns’ in October... and it could very well be a very pleasant surprise for everyone into symphonic black metal.

‘In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns’ is symphonic, melodic, bombastic but at the very same time aggressive. The musicians really know their way around their instruments and that’s another great thing about Abigail Williams. And believe me... there is just so much going on in their music that I discover new things with each listen. This is not background music... no, no, you have to stay concentrated when you listen to this CD to suck up all the details in the music.

Well... some bands fail to mix pure metal and speedy riffs with just the right amount of orchestration but it goes very well hand in hand here. The vocals are very typical for black metal and are a bit monotonous in the long run but that’s just my opinion.

Peppered with an excellent production it’s an album you can’t afford to miss so check this band out if you’re a genre fan.
