This is a special release from Polish Mad Lion Records. No less than three death metal bands share the digital grooves of the disc. The three bands, two Polish and one Japanese, compliment each other nicely as they don’t sound all that different, neither in terms of style nor sound.
These are all previous releases from the bands, so there are of course varying degrees of quality in sound.
Parricide from Poland play heads down old-school death metal with a nod to Sweden and Brujeria whom they’ve in fact covered (Matando Gueros). Brutal, no doubt, and over all good stuff, however with little originality.
The sound is alright apart from the snare drum which sounds a lot like the one on Sepultura’s ‘Bestial Devastation’ (yeah, THAT bad!).

Parricide are responsible for the first 12 tracks of the CD. Next up are their fellow countrymen Incarnated who have delivered six tracks. From the outset, Incarnated focus on the Swedish groove to a further extent than Parricide and it sounds good. That, however, is soon lost in a blastbeat-filled inferno where the Polish trio just seems to be too much in a rush to reach the end of the songs. There are too many compromises in terms of tightness here, methinks.
Pierscien’s voice does get on my tits after a fairly short while, I have to admit. Minus.

Reexamined from Japan are probably the technically most adept band on this disc. It is by far the most interesting output.
The vocal is slightly grotesque, blurted out as it is, on the first track, and oddly slow compared to the underlying music.
It is death metal with a touch of prog, tightly played, and then with this odd vocal on top. The vocal does become more traditional growl as well as screams, though. But there’s plenty of variation in there, and I like that a lot.
Their (live) cover of Bolt-Thrower’s For Victory isn’t bad at all, by the way!
