The first three albums “Words of Nostradameus”, “The Prophet of Evil” and “The Third Prophecy” from Sweden’s Nostradameus were all excellent pieces of Scandinavian style Power Metal, but the last album “Hellbound” was a big letdown.

So I was hoping that Nostradameus would find back to their former glory days with this new album, but sadly they continue with the style from the “Hellbound” Album.

What I miss is more memorable songs like “Death by my Side” or “The Untouchables”, but that’s the only two songs that really stands out on “Pathway” and that’s really a shame because Nostradameus a capable of more.

Well enough complaining from me, there’s also a positive side to this album the singing delivered by Freddy Persson is world class, the production is great and so is the cover artwork.

You can catch them on tour with Jon Oliva’s Pain and Dionysus in April, hopefully they will play a lot of stuff from the first three albums.

Recommended tracks: “Death by my Side” and “The Untouchables”.
