Well... what do we have here? MELIAH RAGE... a band I lost track of after their first 3 releases; “Kill to Survive” (1988), “Live Kill” (1989) and “Solitary Solitude” (1990).

It’s a shame really... because I still listen to their first albums with pleasure... there’s just

something about their no nonsense Heavy Metal packed with Thrashy guitar riffs that I really enjoy. So... therefore I was very curious to check out their recent work, namely their brand new album “The Deep and the Dreamless Sleep”... and am I disappointed? No, no, no... not at all.

MELIAH RAGE is still a pleasure to listen to. Still packed with catchy... but Thrashy guitar riffs

that easily could warm up your neck muscles. The promo I’m holding in my hands, and have been listening to for the past 8 days or so contain 8 tracks. 8 tracks you will surely appreciate if you’re into Metal. The vocals are clear but certainly not wimpy… and it fits the music very well.

It’s kind of hard for me to name any standout tracks ‘cause they are all very good, but maybe “Permanently Damaged” and the Speed Metal hammer track “Curse” are a tad better than the rest in my opinion… but I do like every single track, and my advice to you is: If you like Thrashy Heavy Metal, you can’t afford to miss this one. So go and buy it when it hit the stores July 23rd 2007.
