Jorn Lande is one the most talented and unique vocalists in the metal community, and 'Live in America' is a cool live album, which was recorded at the ProgPower VII Festival in Atlanta on September 16th 2006 in front of a enthusiastic crowd.

From the opening sequences of "We Brought the Angels Down", a wise choice as a starter, to the last seconds of "Gonna Find the Sun" we served with what could be considered classic Jorn Lande songs along with quite a few cover versions. Then they really turn their attention to their roots and play a almost 18 minutes Whitesnake medley ("Come on", "Sweet Talker", "Crying in the Rain", "Here I Go Again" & "Give me all of your Loving"), where Jorn shows that he doesn't have to hide from one of his biggest influences; David Coverdale.

To spice things up for us the fans the double album has a brand new recording of the title track of his third solo album “Out to Every Nation”, a Black Sabbath medley “Lonely is the Word/Letters from Earth” and the unreleased “Sacrificial Feelings” as a bonus.

The recording sounds nice raw and authentic, the band is tight and Jorn is doing a great job as an entertainer and singer on stage. All in all an interesting live documentary from one of my favourite vocalists - solid, but a bit unspectacular...

Best moments on this double package are: "Godless and Wicked" (Beyond Twilight), "Perfect Strangers" (Deep Purple), "Here I Go Again" (Whitesnake) and "Gonna Find the Sun" (Jorn Lande Solo).
