16 months after the release of their debut album ”Precious Time”, Human Zoo is ready to launch their second album “Over the Horizon”.
I’m not familiar with their debut album but I’m well aware of the great reviews they have received from around the world. Human Zoo was voted as ‘best newcomer 2006’ in German magazine “Rock It”, so I was eager to check this brand new release out.

And now...the big question; am I disappointed? No... this German band delivers the goods here on “Over the Horizon”. Their music reminds me of bands such as; Fair Warning and Bonfire. But bands like Victory and Axxis comes to mind too... mostly because of the vocals from Thomas Seeburger.

Driving, catchy, and crunchy at times Human Zoo knows how to write gripping choruses and memorable riffs with a huge impact. The promo-CD I’m holding in my hands contains 12 tracks, and most of them are good, flowing songs and very catchy. Only two of the tracks are not quite up there with the rest in my opinion, however there’s no way around this album if you’re into Hard Rock with catchy choruses.

“Over the Horizon” is produced by Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69) and the sound is crystal clear and powerful. Human Zoo is ready to conquer the world with their brand new songs.... and they will be present at the UNITED FORCES OF ROCK FESTIVAL III on September 30th, 2007 at the Rockfabrik in Ludwigsburg, Germany

Try to be there.
