Forever in Terror
Restless in the Tides
Rating
Style: Thrash-core
Release date: June 18th 2007

Well... this album from Forever in Terror is surely one hell of a hard thing to swallow if you ask me. We are talking Modern Thrash/Metal Core… (I prefer to call it Thrashcore) with aggressive, shouting almost screaming vocals. Bands like Chimaira and Shadows Fall comes to mind when this album rotates in my CD-player.

Maybe it’s just me… I don’t know, but even after numerous listens I do not remember one single track but only a few riffs. I really gave it a chance… I really did, but all this “Core-Metal” is just not my thing. I find myself doing other things while listening to this album called “Restless in the Tides”, such as; Watching the TV, doing the laundry, well… I even took the dog out for a walk… and that’s quite scary… because I do not have a dog.

If you like above mentioned bands you might like this album too. Sadly I find it quite boring and monotonous and the 10 tracks do not connect with me at all.

The production is alright… but that’s it.

Next!
