This is an excellent album. If you’re a fan of latter day Death, I can recommend this warmly, not because it is a clone of said masters, but because it holds many of the same elements and a technicality that is up there among some of the best.

For me, there’s a fine line between death metal that rocks and death metal that becomes artsy-fartsy. The artsy-fartsy elements are definitely here on the debut release from Italians Delirium X Tremens, because, well, they are able to do it, but the beauty of it is that the contrived passages never dominate the way I think e.g. Cynic allowed them to do.

Darkness reigns on ‘CreHated from No_Thing’ – the sound is dark, brutal and powerful, and the atmosphere is creepy, definitely accentuated by Ciardo’s sepulchral voice.

A must for fans of Death and Atheist!
