Crescent Shield
The Last of my Kind
Rating
Style: Old School US Metal
Release date: October 2006

Crescent Shield was formed in 2000 and consists of Michael Grant – Vocals (ex-Onward, ex-New Eden, ex-Legend Maker & Cypher Seer), Daniel DeLucie – Guitar (ex – Destiny’s End & ex-New Eden), Craig Anderson – Drums (ex-Seven Witches, ex-Ignite & Engine) and last but not least Melanie Sisneros – Bass (ex-Sinergy, ex-New Eden & ex-Raven Mad), so we are dealing with some experienced musicians that have played in some of the best US metal bands.

‘The Last of my Kind’ is a self-produced effort that was picked up by Italian metal label Cruz Del Sur Music.

The music delivered by Crescent Shield is old school US metal in the vein of Jag Panzer, old Fates Warning, old Vicious Rumors and Helstar. The vocals reminds of a mixture of Ozzy and J.D. Kimball (ex-Omen) just awesome, the rhythm section is right up there with the best in this genre and the guitar assault by Daniel DeLucie features some of the best riffs that I have ever heard.

Just check out “The Last of my Kind”, “The Path Once Chosen” or the epic masterpiece “The Passing” and get ready to be blown away by this superb band.

Image/DC/Marvel artist Gerry Alanguilan especially created the beautiful artwork of the album for Crescent Shield.

Check it out.

Recommended tracks: Yeah, all of them.
