Finnish Power Metal band Celesty was formed in 1998, in 2000 a studio was booked and their first demo ‘Warrior of Ice’ was released in 2001, a second demo called ‘Times before the Ice’ was released in 2002 and it led to a deal with the Spanish record label Arise Records.

Their debut-album ‘Reign of Elements’ was also released in 2002 and was an ok album with Stratovarius and Sonata Arctica inspired Power Metal. Later the same year Celesty appeared on the Helloween tribute album ‘The Keepers of Jericho – A Tribute to Helloween Part II’ with the song “The Chance”. The second album ‘Legacy of Hate’ from 2004 sounded a lot like the debut album, an ok CD again, nothing more nothing less.

The new CD ‘Mortal Mind Creation’ is released by Celesty’s new label Dockyard 1.

‘Mortal Mind Creation’ is more aggressive than the previous albums, but Celesty have one big problem they don’t stand out, most of the songs are forgotten when the next one starts. There are only 3 memorable songs on ‘Mortal Mind Creation’, the rest are just fillers, so listen carefully before buying!
