American band AT ALL COST has just released their brand new album ”Circle of Demons”

and I must admit that I’m really caught somewhere between heaven and hell when it comes

down to what I feel about their music.

The promo-CD I’m holding in my hands contains 11 tracks. 11 tracks of a music style that I

find a little hard to describe. First you grab a bowl... a fruit-bowl or should we call it a Metal-bowl? Then you throw in several styles of music, like: Hard-core, Metal-core, Thrash, pepper it with just a tad of Offspring and Green Day melody lines, aggressive and clean vocals... an electronic voice.... and flamenco styled guitar passages in the song “Ride Through the storm”. Well you have to throw in a few progressive parts too... then you stir for a moment and then you have AT ALL COST.

It takes a little while before this kind of salad... sorry Metal grows on me, but after numerous listens I find it quite ok. My favourite track could very well be track 2 “Get Down for the Revolution” ... a track that could have been written by Danish band RAUNCHY. Splendid track.

But also track 3 “The Message” is splendid... once again we have a chorus that could make RAUNCHY fans drool.

Not every track is great... a few of them are not above average and some are rather forgettable, however the musicians know their way around the instruments, that’s for sure.

The production is great for this kind of music, and I’m sure that this CD will find its way into my CD-player from time to time.
