Vertigo is a side-project of Toto singer Joseph Williams, guitarist Alex Masi, drummer Virgil Donati (Soul Sircus and Ring of Fire) and bassist, keyboarder, producer Fabrizio Grossi (Glenn Hughes, House of Lords, Starbreaker, Starship Etc.). Joseph Williams has released five solo albums and four albums with Toto.

Vertigo released their self-titled debut on the Frontiers label in 2003. AOR really isn’t my cup of tea but some of the tracks on this CD are really great, such as “In the Blink of An Eye”, “Part of Me”, “Holy” and “There’s a Reason” some of them have a lot in common with Toto.

But the rest of the album simply doesn’t do anything for me it’s too soft, and it doesn’t take long before I’m getting bored. But I am sure that “2” will appeal to a lot of people that are into Toto, Starship and other AOR stuff.
