Second album from German band PUMP. The first one is called “Against Everyone’s Advice”, released in 2004. PUMP managed to get out of a deal with their old label after they had several legal problems with them and instead of breaking up, they started to write songs for a new album. They found a new partner in German label METAL HEAVEN and now they are about to release “Breakdown to Breakthrough”.

Produced by Tommy Newton (VICTORY) PUMP opens this release with one of the highlights, “Revolution on my Mind”, a song that reminds me very much of ACCEPT. This song is a pure riff monster that takes no prisoners, so no complaints here. “Blood on the Blade” follows - it’s an up tempo track with a stunning riff that deserves to be played LOUD! The next six tracks will keep the listeners interested; however they are not as strong as the first two tracks in my opinion. Track 9 is called “Bulletride” and PUMP delivers the goods here. Everything fits on this track… the vocals of former BRAINSTORM singer Marcus Jürgens, the drumming…the guitar riffs… the chorus. Play it LOUD!

The last two tracks are okay… but with… once again great riffs. PUMP will not revolutionize the world of Metal…they just have good songs, all of which possess a certain class and are definitely worth listening to.
