Maybe the most fitting title for a release ever, because "End of an Era" marks the end of Nightwish as we have known and loved for the past decade. Last live show on the "Once" World Tour, but more important - the last show for Nightwish and Tarja Turunen EVER.

The show that turned out to be the last time with Nightwish fronted by Tarja and what a show! Captured on tape for the fans to listen to and more important to watch! Nothing has been spared on this production, the performance is tight and very good, Tarja is once more singing great and overall this live recording captures the true essence of Nightwish.

The songs are a fine collection of their best moments, some might miss some earlier stuff - I do miss "Elvenpath" - but overall the fans are served the (almost) perfect set-list, and it's hard to argue with any of the songs they've chosen to play live...

I am pretty sure Nightwish fans will love this wonderful release, and if you do count them among your favourites then you should get this one as well, but get the 2-CD + DVD edition because in addition to entire live show, the DVD offers a slideshow of pictures from the Hartwall Show and a 55 minutes long documentary: "A Day Before Tomorrow", which follows the band during the last 15 days before the Hartwall Show.

For Nightwish fans this is a mandatory buy, to all others this might not be the best way to start your Nightwish addiction, because chances are that they'll change quite some in the future...
