This is the second output from German band HOKUM and it’s called “No Escape”.

Hokum plays a surprising good mix of Heavy Metal, Thrash and Death Metal and its actually very “catchy”… but don’t worry it’s very aggressive too. It is very easy to tell the numbers apart, and the music is filled with great riffs and aggressive drumming and of course aggressive vocals. But they never lose control over their songs, which is a really big plus in my book, far too many lose the red line within their compositions!

The Rhythms are ever-changing, from straight Death Metal to 80’s Thrash and traditional Metal. “No Escape” was recorded in January 2006 by RPWL-Mastermind Yogi Lang at the Farmlands Studios Freising and you can order the album via the homepage of the band.

Yes… this album is surprising strong and I can highly recommend it to all fans of Thrash and Death Metal.

I would love to see more of this band in the future as they have displayed the potential to rival the best out there.
