I can’t say I’m a huge fan of Ektomorf from Hungary and their brand new album called “Outcast” won’t change a thing. To me the music of Ektomof is very close to Soulfly and I’m not a fan of them either.

“Outcast” is produced by “Mr. Danish Dynamite” himself: Tue Madsen and he has done a very good job in my humble opinion.

When I listen to music like this I instantly think of Nu-Metal and I can’t stand that kind of Metal. Well, the Folk-influenced song “Ambush in the Night” is quite good but the rest of the songs are not my cup of tea, I’m afraid. It tends to get boring in some parts, too much of the same everywhere and Zoltán Farkas’s an aggressive vocal annoys me a bit.

Ektomorf has done a cover version of the Prodigy classic “Fuel My Fire” without any electronics, and I’m sure that some will dig this track… but I don’t.

Sorry but Hardcore-Thrash is not my cup of tea and I rather forget almost everything about this album.

But do check it out, ok?
