- You wanted the best; you’ve got the best, the hottest band in the world, KISS! And… BANG, this 2 discs KISS DVD called “Rock The Nation LIVE” starts with a great version of “Love Gun” spiced with explosions and pyrotechnics. The audience is one big smile as the men behind the masks continues into “Deuce” and the hard rocking “Making Love”. KISS sounds alive and fresh and very tight, and to me as good as they were in the 70’s. There is a constant interacting with the audience, thousands of them dressed up as their “superheroes”, and the blood spitting “Demon”, the “Starchild”, the “Catman” and the “Spaceman” puts on a stunning show with lots of fire, explosions and fireworks.

The almost 2 hour and 20 minutes long double set produced by KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer and MX Entertainment’s Zane Vella not only features a complete KISS concert, but also several short documentaries giving you a sneak peak behind doors in the dressing room, photos, and “the meet and greets” where KISS meets with the fans, sound checks, and the so-called Powervision or Select-A-KISS songs, a cool feature which allows you to choose which band member to view during these particular songs – of course, you can also switch between the different cameras.

Also, there are many wonderful wide angle shots which give you a very good impression of how big the stage is. 20 songs of full power with classic songs like; “She”, “100,000 Years” and “ Detroit Rock City ”, 80’s Pop-Metal songs like “Lick It Up” and “Tears Are Falling” and heavy as hell versions of “Parasite”, “Unholy” and “War Machine”, among others.

This awesome hard rocking party ends with “Rock & Roll All Nite” and I must admit that I laugh my ass off every time I watch this DVD because I have never seen so much smoke, fireworks and fire in my life, very funny indeed. KISS goes totally overboard and everything just seems to explode… what a way to end a show.

To all KISS fans out there; get this DVD now… you won’t regret it! And now you have to excuse me… I have to go and get some more beers and watch this awesome show one more time.

- I wanna rock and roll all nite, and party every day!
