DAMN this album has totally caught me off guard! Where their first album "Extension of the Wish" was a solid piece of progressive metal, their second album "II=I" never really caught my attention, so I didn't have a whole lot of expectations for this their 3rd album "Chimera".

But boy was I wrong!

This album possesses everything you could wish in a progressive metal album; fast and heavy parts, melodic parts, a very strong rhythm section, great guitar leads, great choirs, great and precise keyboards, blistering guitar riffs and an outstanding vocalist.

All the songs are excellent crafted, actually a bit simple structured (I know it's a contradiction in terms to call it progressive then!), filled with well executed breaks and just plain and simple outstanding!

All musicians show great skills - I really like the drumming on this album. The album has an outstanding sound and will hopefully gain much deserved attention, not only among progressive metal fans.

Just like Sieges Even blew me out of my socks last year, so has Andromeda done with this brilliant piece of excellent progressive metal. The album grows with each spin in my CD-player, and I love everything about it...

So if you like your metal the progressive way, then you need to experience this piece of art - I for one will keep praising this album to everyone, who'll listen...

Recommended: BUY the album!
