Bloodbath – Unblessing The Purity

Available on 10” vinyl – pre-order now from www.peaceville.com – new video now online

2008 witnessed the glorious, gory return of Bloodbath. Following years of inactivity they returned with Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth) resuming vocal duties joining Martin ‘Axe’ Axenrot (Opeth), Jonas Renkse and Anders ‘Blakkheim’ Nyström (Katatonia) and Per 'Sodomizer' Eriksson.

The mini-album Unblessing The Purity was followed by the CD & DVD set The Wacken Carnage and the new album The Fathomless Mastery.

Each of these were met with critical adulation with Rocksound describing them as ‘metal’s wet dream’ and Metal Hammer proclaiming ‘death metal doesn’t get much better than this’ and the readers of Terrorizer voted The Fathomless Mastery album of the year.

A vinyl edition of Unblessing The Purity is now available to pre-order. This edition, which is limited to 2,000 numbered copies, will only be available from Peaceville's store and comes on 10” vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.

Autopsy – Severed Survival
Vinyl edition now available to pre-order

One of the early death metal acts and no stranger to controversy over the years, Autopsy formed in 1987 in San Francisco and released 4 albums on Peaceville Records before disbanding in 1995 and going on to form Abscess.

The band notably features legendary drummer Chris Reifert, who began his recording career with US metal greats, Death, before taking on the unusual duty of handling drums and vocals for Autopsy. Autopsy has influenced a whole generation of extreme metal bands, from Entombed and Dismember to Darkthrone.

Severed Survival is (rightly) hailed as one of death metal’s finest releases. A completely rotten and uncompromising sound - dirty, sludgy, death and doom metal mixed in with repulsive tales of death and disease - it was originally released in April 1989.

This vinyl edition of the album is limited to 1000 numbered copies comes on blue vinyl in a gatefold sleeve featuring the uncensored original art. It also includes a free poster of the alternate artwork (surgeons).
It is available to pre-order now at the Peaceville store and will ship from June 29th

‘An absolute must for all old school death metallers. The beast is dead, long live the beast!’ ★★★★ Big Cheese

‘Twenty years on and Autopsy’s ‘Severed Survival’ is still both the beginning and the end when it comes to crusty, catchy Cro-Magnon death metal.’ 9/10 Terrorizer
