AS I LAY DYING's video for ‘I Never Wanted’ premiered on Headbanger´s Ball!

Headbangers Blog and Headbangers Ball just premiered the latest video from Grammy Nominated San Diego act AS I LAY DYING for the track ‘I Never Wanted’ off of their critically and fan acclaimed release ‘An Ocean Between Us’. Here's what guitarist Phil Sgrosso has to say about the video that was taken from the bands first ever DVD release ‘This is Who We Are’, which just landed on the Billboard Top Music Videos Chart in both the US (#2) and Canada (#3) for first weeks sales.

“We've talked about doing a video for I Never Wanted for quite some time now. Most videos that we've done have been for more fast and aggressive songs that have the usual AILD sound to it but we wanted to mix things up and do a video for a slower (but still heavy!) song that would be made up of footage from our new DVD, 'This Is Who We Are'.”

“Denise Korycki filmed and directed our DVD so we thought it would be perfect for her to make a video that incorporated mostly footage from the DVD, plus some bonus stuff as well! The live footage is made up of several shows that we played in the past few years while the 'hanging out' footage was shot mostly while we were…well…hanging out. Not much more to it, I guess! Generally it takes us a day or two to film one of our videos but in a way, it took several years to make I Never Wanted what it is. I hope you enjoy it.”

“I was just searching the web for all things Arnold like I often do, and I came up with an idea based on these videos I posted. Whoever has the best impersonation can do a track with me on the new Austrian Death Machine record I'm working on right now. To be honest, I don't think anyone out there can do a better impersonation than Josh Robert Thompson, so don't compare yourself to him. Just do the best you can and have fun…I mean brutal fun of course!”

JOB FOR A COWBOY completes work on new album 'Ruination'!

Award-winning Glendale, AZ heavy music powerhouse JOB FOR A COWBOY has completed work on its hotly-anticipated sophomore album, entitled ‘Ruination’!

The follow up to the quintet's celebrated debut album ‘Genesis’ was recorded at Audio Hammer Productions in Sanford, FL with Producer Jason Suecof (The Black Dahlia Murder) and will be mixed by acclaimed audio authority Fredrik Nordstrom (At The Gates, Opeth). ‘Ruination’ marks the JOB FOR A COWBOY recording debut of drumming prodigy Jon “The Charn” Rice, who has toured with the band since the release of ‘Genesis’ and features ten tracks of state-of-the-art heavy metal music.

THE RED CHORD in the studio recording new album!

Boston, Massachusetts Death Metal/Grindcore band THE RED CHORD has entered Jonny Fay Backyard Studios, which is owned by the group's former guitarist Jonny Fay, to begin recording its new album for a fall release.

UNEARTH's ‘Grave Of Oppurtunity' added as Guitar Hero World Tour downloadable track!

Starting May 7, ‘Grave of Opportunity' from Massachusetts metallers UNEARTH will be available as a downloadable track on the Guitar Hero World Tour. The song is from the band's latest album, the critically acclaimed ‘The March’, which hit streets last October. The song is part of the Ferret Music/Metal Blade Track Pack, which also contains The Devil Wears Prada's ‘Dez Moines', and Chimaira's ‘On Broken Glass'.

Lead guitarist Buz McGrath had this to say about the Guitar Hero release, “Yo! Unearth is jazzed that our song ‘Grave of Opportunity' will be available for download for Guitar Hero World Tour. Swedish Death Metal monsters VOMITORY will release their new crushing album ‘Carnage Euphoria’ on Friday this week / Monday next week!

2009 marks the 20th Anniversary for VOMITORY and, as a part of the celebrations, a limited first edition of ‘Carnage Euphoria’ will be available with a 90-minute bonus DVD. The DVD is entitled ‘Dead & Drunk for 20 Years’ and contains clips from the very first VOMITORY show in 1990 to live shows from 2008 with the band's present line-up. In between you will find one previously unreleased song, ‘Putrefaction’, performed live in 1990, live clips from different shows during the 90s with different line-ups and drunk moments on the road and in the studio.
